Curvilinear Earthwork
A Curvilinear Earthwork is a substantial earthen bank that is longer than it is wide and has an irregular curving or sinuous course.

Earthworks are some of the earliest monuments that are found in Britain. They are hugely variable in form and size from low walls to banks that span kilometres. They can be composed of earth, stone, turf or rubble. The course can curve sharply but it will not be a fully enclosed circuit – see Curvilinear Enclosure.
This monument type will be used when a more specific type cannot be assigned – See enclosures, field boundary, round barrow, gardens.
