It's a new week at Leiston Abbey, and with the fresh Monday morning comes a new team of Venturers. Raksha starts to teach the newcomers the basics. Meanwhile, the rest of the team are eager to find as much as possible with the end of the dig drawing nearer.
The excavations at Leiston Abbey were part of a four-year project to unearth the untold story of Suffolk’s finest medieval ruins. Over the years, more than 500 crowdfunders have helped us carry out in-depth excavations, and start piecing together the story of what happened here 700 years ago.
