18th Century Button

“This button is a discoid slightly plano-convex section button. The convex surface bears the low relief motif of an equal armed cross in the style of a Greek cross. Similar buttons are on display at the V&A Museum and a button with a similar design is also listed on the Portable Antiquities Service database NLM-E611E3 dated 1600 to 1700 AD. Therefore the date of 18th century has been assigned to this object.”
