Dirty Weekends: Why An Archaeology Dig Is Actually The Perfect Romantic Getaway

Hands up if your perfect romantic getaway is actually THIS.

Imagine. You head off for a Dirty Weekend, but it’s not your average Dirty Weekend. Instead of roses and chocolates and overcrowded restaurants, you head out of town to get down and dirty… on an archaeological excavation.

That’s what Greg and Lyla did, and it went a little something like this:

Together, they spent a weekend having a real archaeological adventure, digging among the ruins of a 12th century abbey. Then something adorable happened. They each found a piece of medieval stained glass, and when they put them together, they fitted PERFECTLY.

And here’s how they made the whole adventure happen. Now who says archaeology isn’t romantic?
