Sue, studying towards her second archaeology degree, tells us why she is glad to support the project

“I live near Cambridge and have visited Leiston Abbey several times, so I will be following the progress of the dig with interest. I’m glad the funding is going so well and I am happy to contribute towards it. I’ve been interested in archaeology for many years and am currently studying for a second degree in Archaeology and Ancient History as a distance learner with the University of Leicester. As a “senior citizen” I’m afraid my digging days been and gone, so it’s desk-based research only for me, but I hope to be able to pay a visit to the site during the course of the project and wish everybody the very best of luck.”

Thanks Sue, do pop down to site to say hello, and of course come to the end of site party!
