May the 4th be with you!

The 4th of August, that is! It’s going to be a HUGE day for us at Flag Fen. Why, you ask? Read on…

We are really thrilled to announce that the 4th August is going to be an amazing day for us at Flag Fen. We can now share the news that our DVIP lecture that evening will feature Francis Pryor MBE, who discovered Flag Fen in 1982 and went on the develop the site and bring it to its current state of scholarship and international importance. Francis will tell the story of finding Flag Fen, and will then be joined by his Time Team colleagues, geophysicist Dr John Gater, and TT senior archaeologist – DigVentures’ very own – Raksha Dave!

And that’s not all! Time Team is filming our project as part of a special documentary feature, and the documentary crew will be onsite filming during the day on August 4th as well! There’s going to be so much action, we can hardly wait!

We have plenty of digging spots available for the day, and if you book with us on a Dig for a Day, you will get free entry into the lecture as part of your day’s tuition. Join us for the dont-miss opportunity to hear the story of Flag Fen from the Mighty Pryor himself, and be a part of the behind-the-scenes Time Team action…
